Morristown Medical Center, which features 735 beds, a state-of-the-art labor and delivery unit and a maternity department with 54 private patient rooms, has more than 5,000 deliveries each year. Overlook Medical Center, which features 504 beds, and private and comfortable labor rooms, has more than 2,600 deliveries each year.
Women with high-risk pregnancies are referred to Atlantic Health System's Maternal-Fetal Medicine Center for evaluation and treatment. Morristown Medical Center is a Level III Regional Perinatal Center and Overlook Medical Center is a Level III Intensive Perinatal Center. All beds are equipped with the most sophisticated technology available, including individual fetal monitors with a central monitoring station. Both hospitals also have Neonatal Intensive Care Units to provide advanced care to our smallest patients.
Both hospitals have a full complement of subspecialists including gynecologic oncologists and urogynecologists who see patients and operate at both sites. Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center each have the da Vinci® surgical system robot. The reproductive endocrinology and infertility division performs over 10,000 in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles a year and has the largest IVF center in the tri-state area.
