About the OB/GYN Divisions and Faculty
The Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health Residency of Atlantic Health System relies on the talent and skill of 60 general Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty at Morristown Medical Center and 40 at Overlook Medical Center. Experts in the subspecialties include – Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Family Planning, Pediatrics and Adolescent Gynecology which contribute to the residency program.
Our dynamic teaching faculty performs a full range of gynecologic procedures, including laparoscopic, robotic, vaginal and abdominal hysterectomies and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures. Our clinical program provides ample opportunities for residents to engage in the full range of gynecology. U.S. News & World Reports ranked Morristown Medial Center #28 in Gynecology Nationally. Our labor and delivery is a Regional Perinatal Referral center which allows residents to master the management of complicated obstetric patients. Subspecialists interact directly with the residents in all areas. U.S. News & World Reports ranked Morristown Medial Center as the #1 Hospital in New Jersey for the fifth consecutive year.

Director, Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency ProgramDr. Einat Manor is the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Atlantic Health System Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center and the Director of the OB/GYN Ambulatory Services at Morristown Medical Center. Dr. Manor is passionate about patient care and Graduate Medical Education. She feels it is a privilege to have the opportunity to train the future generation of Women's Health Care Physicians. She has been involved with the residency program since its infancy. During her tenure, the ACGME accredited OB/GYN Residency has expanded from 16 to 20 residents. She heads a team of culturally diverse professionals, reflective of the community in which they serve.
Atlantic Health is a high-volume medical system with exceptional services in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM), Gynecologic Oncology (GynOnc), Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS/UroGyn), FPMRS Fellowship, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI), REI Fellowship, Family Planning and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS). Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Centers bring together a faculty dedicated to academic excellence and clinical practice and encourage and mentor these qualities in their residents. Within the residency, Dr. Manor fosters a collaborative and collegial atmosphere among the Residents and Attending/Provider Staff which improves patient safety and shared goals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Graduates from the residency have continued their professional journey as fellows in some of the nation’s most prestigious academic institutions. Residents from the program are highly sought after to join private practices and are dedicated to their specialty.

Clerkship Director, Medical StudentsDr. Mass is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist in private practice in Morristown, N.J. and serves as the Medical Student Clerkship Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Morristown Medical Center. In 2022 she served as Interim Chair of that Department. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, Medical Degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed her residency in OB-GYN at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
Dr. Mass has held local, regional and national leadership positions in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for more than 29 years. She currently serves as a member of the District III Advisory Council, is Chair of the Breastfeeding Expert Work Group, and represents ACOG on the United States Breastfeeding Committee and as an Editor of the AAP/ACOG Breastfeeding Handbook for Physicians, now in its third edition.Dr. Mass has been invited to speak about her expertise on women’s health, breastfeeding and breast imaging at numerous medical centers around the country and is frequently quoted in the media on these and other topics. In her practice, Dr. Mass enjoys taking care of women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause and in managing both high- and low-risk pregnancies. Dr. Mass has repeatedly been named as a “Top Doctor” in New Jersey Monthly magazine.

Associate Residency Director – Morristown
Judy L. Banks, MD, FACOG, is pleased to be tasked with helping to train the next generation of specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women's Health.
She assumed the position of Associate Program Director after many years in private practice as a generalist. Dr. Banks has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery, emphasizing this approach through both classical gynecological surgical approaches and new technology. Dr. Banks appreciates the programs commitment to diversity and its ability to train a group of highly competent, culturally aware and service-oriented providers.
Morristown Medical Centers Global Health Elective has allowed our residents to provide care in developing countries and Dr. Banks has accompanied her residents for these projects.
A lifelong resident of Morris County, New Jersey, Dr. Banks is a graduate of Meharry Medical College. She completed her residency training at the University of Medicine of New Jersey.

Associate Residency Director – Overlook
Dr. Nana E. Tchabo is dual board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology, with fellowship training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and robotic procedures. As a native of Baltimore, MD and raised in Northern Virginia, Dr. Tchabo is a Gynecologic Oncologist at Atlantic Health System’s Morristown and Overlook Medical Centers Atlantic Women’s Cancer Associates, part of the Atlantic Medical Group.
After graduating from Brown University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Women’s Health, Dr. Tchabo attended Brown University School of Medicine for her medical degree, where she was cited for academic excellence. Dr. Tchabo completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University in 2004 and pursued additional research training at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. In 2009, she completed her Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship training at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY.Committed to cancer prevention, survivorship and eradicating health care disparities, Dr. Tchabo is a Principal Investigator of many of the gynecologic cancer clinical research trials available at the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center. She also serves as Associate Residency Director for Gynecology at Overlook Medical Center. Dr. Tchabo is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and is a former Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science. Her medical career includes many honors, teaching awards, presentations and authored publications. In addition, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons.

Overlook Medical CenterDr. Kayaalp is a board-certified Obstetrics & Gynecology specialist. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Swarthmore College, an M.D. from Rutgers—New Jersey Medical School, and a Ph.D. from the McGill University Division of Experimental Medicine—Biomedical Ethics Unit.
After completing his OB/GYN Residency training at McGill University—Royal Victoria Hospital, Dr. Kayaalp went on to do a two-year Clinical Research Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital—Harvard Medical School with a cross appointment at the Biopreservation Unit at the Shriners Hospital for Children. During his time in Boston, he helped establish the nation’s first clinical oocyte cryopreservation (“egg freezing”) program, as well as developed novel techniques for gamete sorting, freezing, and storage.
Over the last 15 years, Dr. Kayaalp has held multiple leadership positions at universities and hospitals in the USA and abroad. He helped to build the combined MD/PhD program at Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine in his ancestral home of Istanbul, Turkey. After permanently returning to the USA in 2010, he served as OB/GYN Residency Program Director at two busy New York City teaching hospitals before moving back to New Jersey.
In New Jersey, Dr. Kayaalp first served as Associate Residency Program Director and Resident Research Director at Rutgers—New Jersey Medical School. In 2019, Dr. Kayaalp was recruited to the HMH—Hackensack University Medical Center, Dept. of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health to serve as the first full-time Patient Safety & Quality Officer. He soon took on the roles of Director of Labor & Delivery and Chief of Obstetrics for the HMH Northern Region hospitals.
Dr. Kayaalp is passionate about patient safety and performance improvement, particularly in the context of Labor & Delivery. He brings his extensive experience in departmental and network leadership to his new role at Atlantic Health System—Overlook Medical Center.

Michele Browne is the GME Residency Coordinator for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and is responsible for many of the administrative aspects for the residency and medical student program. She is an excellent source of information regarding ACGME, ABOG, ACOG/CREOG, NRMP, ERAS and APGO.
