Complex Family Planning

Dr. Praditpan was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She left the Windy City to pursue her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis where she studied African history, modern dance and art history. After graduating, she moved to New York City to complete her Master's in Public Health at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Her focus in reproductive, adolescent and child health motivated her to pursue a medical degree, which she completed at SUNY Stony Brook. Thereafter she was honored to join Washington Hospital Center's obstetrics and gynecology residency training program where she cared for girls and women in the Washington D.C., northern Virginia and Maryland areas. After several years of training, Dr. Praditpan committed to using her career in pursuit of reproductive justice and comprehensive reproductive healthcare for women in the communities she serves. Thus, she returned to New York to complete a fellowship in Complex Family Planning at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Praditpan joined Atlantic Health Systems in 2019. She serves as the medical director of the Healthstart OBGYN clinic at Overlook Medical Center, as an obstetric hospitalist at Morristown Medical Center, as research director for Morristown's OBGYN resident physicians and provides abortion and complex contraception services to women served by AHS-affiliated physicians.
