Brian Silverman, DMD, FACD, Program Director:
Dr. Silverman received his B.A. degree in psychology from West Chester State College and master’s degree from Bryn Mawr College, Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. He received his DMD degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University with honors in pediatric and restorative dentistry, election into Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, and was awarded the prize for graduate of distinction from the American College of Dentists (ACD). Dr. Silverman completed the General Practice Residency in Dentistry at Overlook Medical Center, then joined the teaching faculty and became director in 1994.
Dr. Silverman was honored by election to fellowship in the ACD, and is currently an examiner for the Northeast Regional Board, as well as a site visitor for program accreditation with the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Dr. Silverman is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and the American Dental Association, serving as a component delegate and council member to the NJDA Council on Dental Education. Dr. Silverman also maintains a private practice in Cranford, NJ.
Dr. Patricia Imahiyerobo, DDS: Assistant Program Director
Dr. Patricia Imahiyerobo grew up first-generation Nigerian American in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Imahiyerobo graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Environmental Chemistry and N.Y.U. College of Dentistry, with academic distinction. Dr. Imahiyerobo completed her General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in 2012 and has over a decade of clinical experience in private practice, with a leading focus on cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Patricia Imahiyerobo is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Union County Dental Society. Dr. Imahiyerobo has a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge and is committed to education and mentorship in the dental field. Dr. Imahiyerobo’s goal as the Assistant Program Director of the Overlook Medical Center general practice residency program is to support and empower all residents and strengthen their ability to be fully confident in their clinical judgment by developing a learning environment that caters to each individual resident.
