Morristown Medical Center's Dental Residency Program affords general dentists the opportunity to interact with all hospital departments through numerous inpatient consults. The hospital's dental department supports Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute and the Emergency Department, in addition to the medical inpatients. At the same time, we serve group homes for the developmentally disabled, nursing home facilities and our community’s most disadvantaged patients on an outpatient basis.
Lectures are provided by our extensive volunteer attending staff on a regular basis and include our monthly treatment planning sessions, in which many attending staff members participate. Topics cover all areas of dentistry, practice management, resume writing and job interviewing skills. Residents are encouraged to attend our monthly hospital board meetings and Tri-County Dental Association meetings, as they are considered colleagues by the local dental community.
If you are interested in participating in a fast-moving, challenging practice environment while expanding your treatment planning capabilities and learning new techniques, this may be the place for you. We are looking for hard-working residents dedicated to learning and experiencing all that we have to offer.
