Description: | Students with a demonstrated interest in family medicine will have the opportunity to work at an advanced level in an ambulatory care setting under the direct supervision of family medicine residents and faculty. Encounters may include preventative well-visits for adults, infants, and children; emergent and urgent care visits; gynecological visits; pre- and post-natal care visits; management of chronic disease and outpatient procedures. Students will be exposed to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. This elective provides learning through clinical experiences and teaching conferences. |
