COVID-19 has changed how we offer some of our services, but support is still available.
At Atlantic Health System, our mission is to design and deliver high-quality, innovative, personalized – but most of all compassionate – health care.
When patients confront severe and terminal illnesses, our mission doesn’t change. We work to improve the lives of our patients and their loved ones and caregivers, helping them manage their care, live life to the fullest extent possible, and meet their challenges with comfort and dignity.
Our programs offer medical and emotional support both to our patients and their loved ones who are living with illness or are bereaved.
We have programs designed for specific needs, and programs that are more generalized. If you or a loved one are struggling with illness or loss, please reach out to us.
Camp Clover
Camp Clover is a free day camp designed to help children and teens in grades one through eight cope with loss and grief.
Perinatal Bereavement Program
Family and friends often try to support the bereaved after the loss of a baby. However, people often need professional help to manage their pain and grief. Atlantic Health System – as well as both Overlook and Newton Medical Centers – offer perinatal bereavement programs.
Grief and Loss Support Group
COVID-19 has changed the way families face loss, and Atlantic Health has created a support group to help the bereaved express their feelings, connect with others, and find the most appropriate personal behavioral health support.
Hospice and Palliative Care
Atlantic Health System’s Hospice and Palliative Care supports the terminally ill to live life as fully as possible, in comfort and with dignity.
Cancer Counseling Services
Atlantic Health offers support services helping cancer patients deal with a range of issues, including non-medical concerns, bill payments, and diet.
Visiting Nurse Services
Atlantic Visiting Nurse Services provides compassionate, specialized care that supports family and loved ones in their role as caregivers, and minimizes patient suffering.
