Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center

Welcome to the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center

The Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center is the philanthropic arm of Hackettstown Medical Center. Through donations and revenue from special events and other initiatives, we support the present and future health and wellness needs of our community and beyond.

Since 1980, the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center has raised nearly $15 million and the Foundation continues to play a vital role in raising funds for new technology and expanded services here at Hackettstown Medical Center. In fact, with the fast-paced changes to the health care industry over the past few years, and with more significant and exciting changes on the horizon, the support of our community will be even more important to our ongoing success. As in the past, the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center will continue its mission to support this hospital and 100% of any funds our Foundation raises now and in the future will be designated to Hackettstown Medical Center.

Now that Hackettstown Medical Center is a proud member of the Atlantic Health family of hospitals which also includes Morristown, Newton, Overlook and Chilton Medical Centers and Goryeb Children’s Hospital, area residents will have seamless access to the comprehensive programs and services offered throughout our network. We understand the importance of access to quality medical care for you and your family close to home. That’s why Hackettstown Medical Center will continue to expand the breadth of health care services in your community.

What is next on the list for Foundation funding at Hackettstown Medical Center?

In addition to supporting the growth of oncology and behavioral health services at Hackettstown Medical Center, the Foundation is pleased to announce that we are currently raising funds for a $6 million expansion and renovation of Hackettstown Medical Center’s Emergency Department. With 22,460 Emergency Department visits in 2024 alone, this is a welcome expansion that will foster a more positive patient experience in a safe, more private, healing environment.

The project will be done in phases, and the current footprint of the Emergency Department will be expanded into an underutilized section of the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The result will be 20 patient treatment rooms – an increase from the current 11, and a total of six treatment rooms that will be specially equipped to care for behavioral health patients, including a new nurses’ station and an expanded waiting area.

We’re grateful to a very generous community for its support of the Foundation and of our mission-driven hospital, making projects like this possible.
