The Foundation is currently raising $1 million toward an exciting and much-needed $6.5 million renovation/expansion of the Emergency Department at Hackettstown Medical Center!
The Emergency Department (ED) expansion will bring significant enhancements designed to improve patient care, enhance staff efficiency, and optimize space utilization.
- The number of treatment spaces will increase from 16 to 22, allowing for greater patient capacity.
- New break rooms will be added for both the radiology team and the ED staff to enhance comfort and workflow.
- The expansion will include six dedicated behavioral health rooms—one hard room and five swing rooms—in a secured area.
- The behavioral health crisis office will be relocated to the same level to improve access and coordination.
- The waiting area will expand from 23 to 49 chair spots.
- A new stroke bay will be added to support critical care needs.
- A private patient registration area will be created.
These improvements will reflect a thoughtful redesign focused on making better use of space and creating an enhanced emergency care environment for both patients and staff.
