The goal of Morristown Medical Center’s Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship is to introduce students to the clinical practice of emergency medicine which includes both philosophy of emergency medicine and a specific approach to acute illness and injury. By the end of the rotation, students will develop expertise in a wide spectrum of emergency and non-emergency problems, including:
- Abdominal pain
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS)
- Chest pain
- Dyspnea
- Emergency medicine
- Emergency orthopedics
- Febrile children
- Headache
- Lacerations
- Overdose, coma and altered mental status
- Pregnancy-related issues
- Trauma resuscitation
- Syncope and dizziness
- Urinary tract infections, vaginitis, sexually transmitted disease (STD)
