What a night! The Chilton Medical Center Foundation thanks the many Atlantic Health team members, sponsors and supporters who joined us on October 23 at Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell for Fall for Chilton. Over $90,000 was raised for the new Patient & Family Caregivers Center at Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center!
This fundraiser highlighted four seasons of excellence at Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center and celebrated two very deserving honorees – Physician Honoree Steven W. Domnitz, MD, and Community Honoree the Chilton Medical Center Auxiliary.
Dr. Domnitz is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Among his many honors and appointments, Dr. Domnitz has served as a member and officer of the Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center Board of Trustees, a member of the Chilton Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees, and President of Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center’s Medical Staff.
A published author, Dr. Domnitz is particularly accomplished in the world of minimally invasive surgery, and he has been featured as a medical expert in various print publications and in segments on CBS and NBC News.
Joining Dr. Domnitz in the honors portion of the evening will be the Community Honoree, the Chilton Medical Center Auxiliary.
What began in 1949 with twenty charter members has evolved into a thriving organization that continues to drive the hospital's philanthropy. Over the last half century, the Auxiliary has raised more than $6 million for Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center.
Their efforts have funded life-saving medical equipment, expansions and modernizations, surgical innovations and vital enhancements that have impacted most every program and service provided by Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center. Most recently, the Auxiliary funded a patient treatment room in the Infusion Therapy suite in the Oncology Department within the Collins Pavilion. Capping off the evening was the Auxiliary’s surprise presentation to the Foundation – a check for $30,000 from their most recent fundraising efforts.
“The Foundation was so pleased to honor Dr. Domnitz and the Chilton Medical Center Auxiliary at this year’s Fall for Chilton,” said Megan Sandow, Chief Philanthropy Officer. “Their significant contributions to Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center have helped make this hospital the cherished community resource and go-to destination for safe, high-quality healthcare that it is today.”
